Altered State 🇮🇪

Altered State is the psytrance project of Dublin DJ and producer David Sheehan. His sound centres on energetic, hypnotic movement, shaped for the dancefloor through driving rhythms and an instinct for building momentum. His catalogue includes releases on IONO Music, Iboga Records, TechSafari Records, Expo Records and Furthur Progressions, alongside his debut album, Ultraviolet.

His connection to the scene extends beyond the studio. As the organiser behind Altered Events, he has brought international psytrance artists to Dublin, helping create a meeting point for Ireland’s electronic music community. Performances at Airbeat One, Indian Spirit, Noisily and Fuinneamh reflect the same commitment to music as a shared experience: direct, immersive and carried by the energy of the crowd.
