Murus 🇩🇪

Murus is a German DJ and one of the people behind IONO Music’s beginnings. Drawn to psychedelic trance in 1994, he started DJing under this name in 2003 and helped establish the label with Matthias Sperlich in 2005. His work also led to the founding of Landmark Recordings in 2011.

As a selector, Murus explores the connections between deep progressive music and more intense psychedelic sounds. His IONO compilations Blue Banquet and Pathfinder document that range, bringing together different approaches to trance and shaping them into a coherent listening journey. Careful track selection and a willingness to cross stylistic boundaries remain central to the musical identity represented by these releases and his DJ work.
