Zen Mechanics 🇦🇺

Zen Mechanics is the psychedelic trance project of Wouter Thomassen, a Dutch-born producer based in Byron Bay, Australia, and the founder of Sourcecode Transmissions. Emerging from a background in DJing, design and underground events, the project combines progressive structures with forceful basslines and the spacious influence of ambient music.

His debut album Holy Cities was released by Neurobiotic Records in 2008, followed by the remix collection Re: Modified. His catalogue also includes work with labels such as Iboga, Nano and IONO Music. Collaboration remains an important part of his practice, from Zentura with Ace Ventura to productions with artists including Egorythmia, Symbolic and E-Clip. Across these settings, Zen Mechanics connects detailed studio craftsmanship with the scale and atmosphere of open-air dancefloors.
